Relais San Marco

HOW TO REACH US

Central Location

From the central location of the Relais San Marco and Hotel San Marco it’s possible to really get the best out of a trip to the magical city of Rome, thanks to a strategic placing that offers the best of everything. Just a few minutes from the city’s main train station, Termini, you’ll have easy access to all of Rome’s treasures within minutes. You’ll also find some of the more real restaurants and bars offering proper Roman cuisine. The metro is a stone’s throw away too, though you can walk to most of the delights of the historical centre and honestly, that’s the best way to do it.

From the Airport

Rome has two principal airports: Fiumicino (FCO) and Ciampino (CIA). Ciampino is mostly used by the budget airlines but it’s actually closer to Rome and arguably a nicer airport! From Fiumicino there’s a direct train to Termini during the day running every half hour, called the Leonardo Express. From Ciampino there’s a host of bus companies competing for your business and the price is low.

By Train

Termini is Rome’s principal train station and public transport hub, it’s where the metro lines converge and many of the buses depart from. It’s also where you’re likely to roll into if you take the train from just about any other part of Italy or Europe. And it’s five minutes away from the Relais San Marco Rome.

From Termini

From Termini you can either walk or take the metro. To do the former, simply cross the bus concourse upon exiting the station and take a right onto Via Enrico de Nicola. You’ll pass the Automobile Club Italia building. Cross through Piazza dell’Indipendenza and the road becomes Via San Martino della Battaglia.

NB: Check in at the Relais San Marco Rome takes place at the Hotel San Marco at Via Villafranca 1.

Via Villafranca and the Hotel San Marco is the right turn from Via San Martino della Battaglia after Via Palestro.

By Metro

Should you be arriving from another part of the city, the nearest Metro Station is Castro Pretorio on Line B (the blue line). It’s one stop from Termini going in the direction of Rebibbia or Conca d’Oro. From the Metro Station you’ll be right on Via San Martino della Battaglia already, but you’ll have to pass the Relais San Marco in order to check in at the Hotel San Marco, around the corner (left) at Via Villafranca 1.
